Understanding a Religion and its Philosophy

One Pope called Galileo's theories as hogwash.
Tesla's inventions were labelled hogwash by rival businessmen.
Is it Galileo's fault? Is it Tesla's fault?
Same way, Marsrim's lack of comprehension of a foreign culture and lifestyle should be viewed in the same light. It is not Buddhism at fault. It is your inability to comprehend Buddhist philosophy or any religious teaching for that matter.
Religious extremists who can't find any peace in their own religion and own religious philosophy are the ones who attack other religions and philosophies as their misery gets satisfaction that others cannot possibly be at peace through alternate means.
For example you enjoy a Happy Meal at McDonalds. Another neighbour enjoys Pizza Hut pizzas only. A third says both are junk food and survives on raw organic vegetables only. All three are suffering consequences of their actions and habits and conditioning - and each think they are right and healthier and nobler. The meat eater claims protein and strength. The pizza eater claims tastebud and stomach satiation. The vegetable eater bemoans the fate of the Earth and thinks himself as a martyr saint.
Zen is ACCEPTANCE. When you are able to live with yourself - you have achieved self-realisation.
